Financial Ombudsman Service independent dispute resolution processes cover complaints about financial services including banking, credit, loans, general insurance, life insurance, financial planning, investments, stock broking, managed funds and pooled superannuation trusts.
Revium developed a bespoke web application which is accessible from the FOS public website and allows financial service providers who want to become a member of FOS to apply online.
The full application covers 12 pages capturing varying details which is relayed to different staff members of the financial service provider. The application uses extensive JQuery field validation and a predictive search is used to capture address details. A progress bar guides the applicant in the process and a review page allows the user to change details before final submission.
A credit card payment is taken as part of the application. The payment screen interfaces with a Payment Gateway of one of the major banks in Australia.
On succesful completion of the application an email notification is sent to the applicant and a FOS staff member. Once the application has been approved the data captured is imported into the case management system.
