Revium were pleased to participate in the 2015 Kentico Connections conference in Melbourne. As Gold Partners, Revium were keen to absorb as much as possible over the course of the 2 day event. The conference was split into 3 tracks, Marketing, Development and ‘Hands On’. Our development team went along to learn about the latest development enhancements and integration practices on the platform. They received a sneak peek at some of the major advances being rolled out in Kentico 9 such as ASP.NET MVC support, Integrated Campaign Management Continuous Integration, and auto scaling.
The marketing track covered some great presentations from Kentico’s product gurus as well as some terrific case studies from Kentico partners. The recurring theme at Kentico Connection as in the wider web development community is the rise in the importance of Customer Experience lead strategies. It’s been described as the age of the customer and was the overarching theme in all marketing addresses across the conference. Just a snapshot; Dan Baker gave a poignant presentation CX – ‘Survival of the fittest’ which covered what agencies need to do to help prevent clients in shifting industries from becoming endangered. Neil Shewan spoke about ‘Digital Psychology in driving user experience’ in which he described his agency’s pragmatic approach to understanding audiences. Andy Thompson gave his thoughts on best-practice customer journey workflows in Kentico EMS. And the Kentico Product Team introduced Kentico Draft as a possible solution to the content insertion bottle neck before the launch of a website.
Revium have been proud partners with Kentico since 2010 and attended all Kentico Connection conferences since. This year Revium received futher recognition of thier Gold Partnership.
This was a terrific experience for the team and we are now keen to expliot the new features from Kentico to our clients, as well as continue to help them best meet the challenges of a rapidly changing online environment.
